Chunky Tomatillo and Cilantro Salsa

Another great salsa recipe to top on everything from eggs and tacos to tostadas and sopes (we love it on our shrimp sopes). If you like a little heat and avocado, this one’s for you!
Instructions:
- In a pan over medium heat, toast the tomatillos and jalapeños until slightly charred.
- In a blender, blend the tomatillos, jalapeños, garlic and water.
- In a sauce pan over medium heat, add a dash of olive oil and sauté onions until translucent, about 3-5 mins.
- Add the tomatillo mix to the sauce pan and cook on low heat for about 5 mins to let the flavors come through.
- Add in chopped cilantro, and salt to taste
- Just before serving, add the avocado chunks
